Edward Scissorhands In Concert Chicago Concert reviews
John Bowman is awesome! Lewis disappointed.
I'd recommend seeing John Bowman. He performed a 15 minute intermission before a long set. The 'Edward Scissorhands In Concert' set started about two hours after the 8pm show time, but it started wonderfully! His story about seeing his doctor and his colonoscopy prep advice was delightful. However, the rest of his set felt more like a comedy show. His rants were met with laughter from supporters of his political opinions and cheers of "Yeah!!" from teachers in the theater rather than political rally. There were no punchlines to make his ranting funny. The set concluded with him struggling to use an iPad to pull up the questions that people had submitted before the show, criticizing the audience for what they had submitted, and then the show ended. He mentioned he had been ill recently, so maybe he was just feeling a bit under the weather that night.
